{It's weird. Tails are a lot easier to twist and wrap. Legs are bony and clunk, they don't get in all the right places, he didn't like them much at first, not really liking them now. He could've beat the rain if he were swimming. Mmmn... Still wet, but warming up. It's not so bad now. Going to the room would be nice, but that means moving, and he's all plastered and sticky to Jade like a lamprey. Moving's gonna drag cloth on his skin and feel yuck. He thinks about finding his pen, casting a some fire magic to warm up, dry off.

More moving. *sigh* Jade's right. He can't outrun the rain. It's all over the school now, clogging the halls with cloying roars. Sheets sweep the grounds outside, slapping the windows with each ribbon. It feels good to stay right here, tucked and warm...er. With nowhere better to put it, he ducks his chin and rests his mouth flush to his twin's collar, letting him hang even more over his shoulder, gangly arm draping down Jade's front. Poised fingers slide a part of his bangs behind his ear.}

I ain't stoppin your legs. {He's being good despite his mood. Only curled around his brother's shoulders and neck. Prompting some awkward frog walk if they bother like this. Guess he could back off below the chest...} I'll let you walk... if you carry me.

[ And yet, if one were to suggest dancing or playing some kind of sport to Floyd, he'd fall in love with legs and their movements all over again. For now, though, Jade continues to stand in silence. He's waiting for Floyd's response, knowing that the other is weighing how he feels and what he really wants. It's adorable, how his brother is always able to just be his truest and purest form of himself. Jade will do a lot to make sure that Floyd is always able to be this way.

The bell rings and they are officially not going to make it to their study hall. Hopefully, they don't get caught by Riddle... Instead, Floyd buries his face further into Jade's neck rather than make any sort of decision, initially. Jade feels his skin prickle a little under the fanning of warm breath against the area. Tries to keep himself steady and still even as the movement from Floyd's lips can also be felt against his collar.

Floyd is being "good." Relatively speaking. That could, however, change at any given moment. ]

You want to be carried. Like a small fry? [ Amused. ] Oh, I suppose I could...

[But none of those things are happening right now. Just a pair of hard jointed stilts which didn't get him in before the rain hit. He can fall in love with them again later. Maybe. If he feels like it. Feels like Jade currently. Always so poised and capable. At Azul's side whenever he needs him, offering his twin encouragement when he struggled, the only one who ever understood him completely. Just the way he likes it. Why's going to the room take so much effort anyways? Maybe it'd be easier to flop down on the ground right here and doze...]

Aaah... urusei... [Noisy bell. He cracks his eye open, golden iris glowing gently under his dripping bangs. Didn't wanna go to class anyways. He can study later. Mah, if Riddle shows up, he might be entertaining. Or he'd tick him off. Squeeze. Gotta make some kinda decision. Standing here's getting boring real fast and his shoes are all squishy around his feet. Curling his toes makes a funny little noise and water oozes from the sole's seam. Soaked through.

Fiiine, they can move. Doesn't wanna, but guess he's done being a hallway statue. Lips part, a bare flash of sharp white teeth, and his twin earns himself a slight nip on his neck's cord. Affectionate.]

Heheh? Ya never had a problem before. [Memories of Jade's arms tucked under his knees or tail couple with the air and water currents rushing past his face. "Faster, faster!" Hasn't thought about those younger moments in a long time. It manages to fish out a tiny smile.] Kay, I'm movin.

[Oh, he kinda wants to do that thing where he jumps on Jade's back and wraps around him.] Hup!

[ By now, Jade's back is completely soaked through. It's fine, he doesn't mind. Azul might give them an earful later for it, considering that they'll have to wash these uniforms before wrinkles can set in. Neither here nor there, though. Floyd is still trying to come to a decision on whether or not he really wants to move. It's best for Jade to wait, for pushing his brother one way or another runs the risk of his current mood shifting into something that might not be so favorable for others.

Not that Jade has to worry. That ire is very rarely aimed at him. So he continues to comb gloved fingers through teal strands of hair and gently pat one of the hands that are draped and wrapped around him. Honestly, Jade expects Floyd to want to head back soon. One thing that no one can tolerate is the feel of wet socks in shoes.

And he knows that Floyd has come to a decision when he feels that nip at his neck. Automatically, Jade's head turns, snapping teeth right back at Floyd. Just as playful and affectionate. That's probably a good indication that the both of them are well and truly alone, since Jade wouldn't necessarily risk showing his teeth like that in front of others. ]

I never said it was a problem now. You needed to release me first, correct?

[ Jade brings his hand up to his mouth to hide a chuckle, even as Floyd moves only enough to. Well. Jump onto Jade's back instead. His arms immediately go to his brother's legs, wrapping around them only to secure Floyd in place. He doesn't miss a beat, as though he had known that his twin would do something like this. ]

The waterproofing spell, if you don't mind, Floyd? [ Because Jade is already walking towards the part of campus that contains the mirror room. No one is going to stop them even if they're seen. To anyone else it looks like Jade is handling Floyd. ] We'll have to do something about those wet clothes of yours once we get to our destination.

[Eeeh, Jade's used to being wet. They both are. Clothes still feel kind of weird when they get all sticky on him. Pants aren't as bad, but the shirt's strange. Dry clothes are better than wet. Most of the time. Depends. If Azul's gonna get mad at them for wet clothes, he can take it up with the rain for being too fast. Wouldn't that be a sight. Arguing with the weather. E-heh. Would he and Jade get to watch? Maybe they can say something about it when they get to the Lounge later. His brother almost always knows what to say.

Mmmmn... If Jade keeps petting his head like that, he's gonna fall asleep right here on his shoulder. Cheek mushed a bit, lips resting on his twin's neck, completely content to stand here and drape on him. Until he's not. A gloved hand taps at his own, both a comfort and a final prompt. Gonna have to move at some point. Now feels like a good enough time. Wet clothes are getting uncomfortable.

What a nice feeling. Jade's heartbeat picking up when he bites at him. Longer dark sea blue plaps on his cheek, Jade's fringe, as much as pat there as the hand on his own. *snap snap* Barest bites back, yet it turns his tiny smile into a happy wave.] Cute. Ya gonna make me wanna bite ya soon. [Starting light and cheerful, but fading into a darker hum of interest. As much fun as the other boys around the school can be, Floyd's always found his twin's company to be the best. He's never lonely when Jade's there. These private little moments encouraging his twin to bare his teeth and respond like that stir up something inside he's kept jealously since they were tiny.]

Hai, haaiii~ [Back to his normal light and floaty voice before he jumps on. Oof! Like one, arms go to his legs and he wraps them around Jade's waist, careful not to knock his heels into anything sensitive, while Floyd encircles his sibling's neck and collar with his own arms, chest slicking flush to Jade's spine. He's strong enough to carry him easily.]

Kay. [He spares his precious embrace long enough to fish for his pen along his jacket pocket, tugs it free and fingers it up into his own palm for keeping. Ready to cast when they need it at the mirror. Each step bounces him lightly on his twin's back, a gentle friction he soaks in for indulgence. Rain can't get in here.] Mine? Yours are wet too, Jade.

[ It brings him no small amount of joy, watching his twin be so cheerful. So happy and carefree. Wild and untamed - save by him on most occasions. They might have their own special interests and hobbies, and even have different people that they are drawn to from time to time, but they always have one another. Jade and Floyd will always gravitate towards one another in the end. ]

You'll have to hold back a bit longer.

[ Jade isn't ashamed of their connection, of course. However, that doesn't mean he wants to put it on display for others to see. That's his little jealous heart rearing its head. Other people don't deserve to see what either one of them are like behind closed doors. That's their space meant for them alone. While Jade could be convinced to share that space with Azul, that's because Azul is also theirs. Their octopus. Their toy. Their entertainment. Other than that? Jade is rather possessive in all reality.

He shifts Floyd a bit higher as he walks, right out into the rain. Jade trusts that Floyd will do as he's asked, especially since Jade is doing what Floyd wants at the current moment. Carrying his brother is nothing, of course. Mer are deceptively strong even in their human forms. The strength of their muscles don't go away just because their bodies are a different shape. ]

So they are... [ Jade's not calling attention to the fact that his clothes are wet because of Floyd. ] I suppose you'll have to do something about that, yes?

[ As if that might not have been Floyd's intention all along. ]

{Bobbing bobbing bobbing~ How long's it been since Jade gave him a ride on his back? They're practically the same height, same age, same looks, yet there's only one Jade. No one else is as good at calming him down and riling him up as his brother. It's nice, being able to rely on him just as he is. Dependable. Mischievous. Cool. Best of all, always himself. Even if they occasional swim different paths and waters, Jade's with him one way or another.}

It ain't gonna be good to make me wait. {Hinting again towards his sinister side, but the same playful nudging all the same. Nah, he's with his twin on this one. No one else gets to see them like this. "This" being what lingered behind those traded nips. "This" being his Jade. He isn't ashamed of his jealous heart, even if he doesn't wanna talk about it, or even understand it all the time. They don't need words for what they have. A connection melted together long ago when the rest of their brood never made it.

Floyd doesn't always understand his twin's interest in suggesting Azul's presence in their space, but he's Azul. Their tako. Their fun. And Jade's Jade. He trusts his brother implicitly, and loves seeing him happily toying with their prey. Such an alluring expression...}

Oy. {Hitched up, he flops more over his twin's back, arm falling free and dangling down Jade's front. Simultaneously casting the water-repelling spell as asked. A bubble variety. Go away, rain. Water drops blip and splash about the orbular shield, fragile enough it'll pop if Jade runs into something hard. But it keeps the ground dry beneath his twin's feet as well, in exchange. Why's he gotta ruin Jade's shoes too? ("Forgetting" he's already got them wet.)

Took him a while to learn how to do this spell, and he's gotta focus to keep it up.} If I feel like it.

{His wet bangs hide both eyes under their soaking shade, but the way his lips curve, teeth bared white and pointed, suggests Jade's caught onto his ulterior motive.}

[ He's not at all apologetic. Floyd is capable of waiting, especially for what he's really gunning for in the end. Chances are they won't be attending classes in the afternoon. It's debatable whether or not they'll both be presentable enough for the Lounge this evening. Besides, the wait will be worth it as far as Jade is concerned. However, he wouldn't put it passed Floyd to try to take a few more nips or bites or be a brat to push Jade's buttons.

At least Floyd isn't going to do that by drenching Jade. The bubble is an interesting take. Interesting enough for Jade to pause and look before tilting his head towards Floyd. Then proceeds to walk, completely dry save for the parts that are already damp. Courtesy of Floyd. Please don't ruin his shoes. He really doesn't want to overnight delivery a pair and explain to their parents why it's needed. ]

Is that right. Are you saying that only one of us gets to be dry?

[ He feels that smile, Floyd. The implication probably doesn't go unnoticed by his twin either. ]

Hmm~? {Jade's apologies are as transparent as bubbles, unless he means them. These kinds make him wanna pop them cause they're so fun. Cheek to cheek, mouth corner hooked up in a lazy smile, his hum vibrates through bone and flesh. Letting it do the nuzzle for him as his tongue picks across the back of his teeth with each word.} You did it on purpose... Makes me wanna squeeze ya.

{Which he can do easily in this position, both arms and legs tangled around his twin's shoulders and waist. Dares a flex, sinew tightening for the briefest of grips, trusting his brother not to fall from something as small as that. He thought about letting Jade make it to his later classes, but now, playing hooky sounds far more exciting. If he's in a good mood, maybe they won't have to call out of the Lounge for later shift. Maybe... Floyd's not above lingering on a tasty treat. Or poking the proverbial anemone.

Nah, he's already bummed over his own shoes getting ruined; doesn't wanna see Jade's sad little smile over another pair. His brother's ominous amiability is far better a face. A purring giggle rumbles in his throat before bubbling out his lips. Floyd tilts his head just the right way for their earrings to clink along each other's in a musical chime. Jade's teasing him... So fun~}

I already made ya wet. {Deeper voice this time, husky and full of answering implication. Deliberately speaking into Jade's ear without touching his skin yet. In their true forms, he'd be getting poked by his twin's ear fin spines, but no such issue in human guise.} Guess I could make sure you get dry. ... After~

What a wild accusation you're making. How could I ever speak lies to my precious and adorable brother?

[ Yes, he is very glad that Floyd is the one that he chose out of all the others. Maybe Floyd chose him. Doesn't matter. They chose each other and that is oh so very significant. In the end, there is no one better for him than Floyd and the reverse is also true. That's not going to change any time soon and Jade doesn't see it changing in the future either. When it comes down to it, they'll always choose each other over all else.

Jade chuckles, the sound rumbling around in his chest even as Floyd's hum brings them closer. He even leans his face a bit more into Floyd to encourage that quasi-nuzzling. His smile widens, showing a flash of sharp teeth as Floyd giggles. The sound always brights a bit of light to his heart, making it skip a beat or two. No, Jade won't miss a single step even as the sound of the scales that comprise their earrings adds to the song that's Floyd's laughter.

Even though he doesn't stop moving, Floyd will notice that Jade's pace has picked up a little. It's all because of the rumbling in his ear and the warm breath fanning it and his cheek. ]

That you have and continue to do. [ Which is why he's speeding up or else neither one of them will want to wait to reach the safety of the dorm. ] Though, you know I'm never in a rush to dry off after being fully submerged.

[ At least if anyone is hearing them, they'd just assume that Jade is referring to his nature of being a mer and being all right in water. The twins mean something else entirely. ]

{Only made him wait. Which was worse; lies aren't boring. Most of the time. Maaah, this walk's taking too long. Why do legs gotta be so slow even on land? If they had Sea Otter's river making magic, they could go all over campus faster than anyone! Maybe Sea Slug, but he cheats. Annoying... but being pressed against Jade's back and all snarled around him like this ain't so bad. Used to do this as kids, jumping on him and tangling up, someone said they got their tail knotted with another and he couldn't believe it was true, even tried it and failed. It was more fun daring Azul to try! Eheh~

What a nice feeling, his twin's laugh. Demure and polite, but smooth as silk and deep currents. Wheedling his hand upward, finger spreading over Jade's upper chest, tapping his fingertips along his twin's torso so he gets all those little vibrations. It's so nice, audible and tactile proof of his brother's humor. Happy Jade. Best Jade. Hmm... actually, maybe when he's being all sinister and gleeful's the best? One of them. But this way, he can tell when his twin's heart skips. All because of him. Yay! All because of him... cheek to cheek again, breath hotter and carrying a soft hiss like an underwater vent.}

Hurry up... {Because he's starting to pick at buttons. The one right at the top of Jade's collar. Poink poink poink. Bad enough getting him all wet. He'd get scolded if he pulled a button off... Nah, Jade picked up his pace a bit, sparing his little round fastener. Maybe if he gives his legs a squeeze? Right around his sides under his ribs. Goldish said that's how horses are told to go faster.}

Jade likes being wet. {A language and understanding all their own, sliding between their lips in double meaning no one else has the ear to understand. Being patient is so hard. Tugging on his chest and fingers, making his extremities itch with the urge to do and indulge. Floyd's chin sinks into his twin's shoulder, mismatched eyes lidding below his bangs.} I'm gonna get ya soaked.

[ Making Floyd wait is really the greatest sin, isn't it? Could Jade move faster? Certainly. Could he take a faster route to the Mirror Room? Absolutely. Is he? No. Why? Because he also likes to best boundaries and limits with his brother. Floyd is not exempt from Jade's special brand of teasing and button pushing. He enjoys seeing Floyd's various reactions to stimuli just like he does anyone else. Floyd's reactions are sometimes better because they are always genuine and Floyd should know better, but...

Well. Floyd enables him just as he enables Floyd in return.

His eyes flick down to that hand on his chest. Being tactile with one another is nothing unusual. It's natural for them. Jade can tell his brother is quite happy with how this is going but also that he's starting to get restless. This is only confirmed by the way that Floyd starts to pluck at the buttons of his shirt. Floyd won't get far, as Jade wears his blazer and vest completely done up so there are layers there, but at the same time? He feels himself shiver a little while his skin prickles from Floyd in his ear. ]

[ A little warning. Just a small one that really doesn't mean anything at all. More like "be mindful" since Jade does not like being noticed. By now, at least, they're out of the rain and ducking into the building that contains the Mirror Room. Not much longer now. ]

Are you going to be able to manage all the way to my room? If you can behave a little longer, I'll give you an extra treat.

[ Oh Jade probably would anyway. But the offer is what matters here. ]

[Among the top cardinals. Boring him is likely the worst one. He can sometimes find things to do while he waits. Usually leading to a scene happening when his brother arrives, or a very non-present Floyd who wandered off to something entertaining and forgot he was waiting for Jade in the first place. Remember picking up the phone and realizing he was supposed to be at the library? Hmmm... But the little lion student looked so thirsty and he was pretty sure a drink at the Lounge would be the best thing to quench it. Oh, a game of tag? How fun! If he catches you, then you buy them both drinks at the Lounge! Why're you running so fast? ... On the phone the entire time with his ever-patient brother.

Ah, he got the stern face when he returned. Don't look at him like that, Jaaade...

Heeeh~ Is he being a bother to his twin right now? Maybe. Riding like this means he's gotta wrap his legs around all knotted. Arms tucked under Jade's chin and one dangling down his chest, tucked limb just so with his hand at his collar to mess with a shiny button. Tug tug~ ... Tug tug~ Does this make Jade want to go faster? His twin's shirt's always done up to the top, making it hard to get a finger sneaking under his collar. Leads to more jaw pokes and cheek nuzzles if he's in the mood while they're working. But now, so close and flush, he'd be a rock if he missed his twin's gentle shudder. Hoooh... Jade's feeling it too.]

Hai, hai... [Little warning swimming like a flicker sardine and he eases his fingers away from his button victim. Lucky button gets a reprieve. Jade remains a shadow in the rain. Maybe no one'll recognize him either; another figure bunched on his back, gray deluge blocking out telltale turquoise hair from notice. And then... no more rain. Aww. He was just startin to like it again.]

Praise me for my aqua spell and I might wanna behave a bit longer. [Half teasing, half genuine pout his twin never mentioned how impressed he was with the bubble shield already.]

[ Of course Jade is feeling it. Usually he's someone that doesn't feel much at all unless his actions cause someone to do something. Jade is very much an individual that gets "worked up" when he watches other people fail miserably or when they experience extreme emotions. Discomfort, pain, sadness mostly. The exception to that is, of course, suctioned to his back like a lamprey. Maybe that's just because Floyd actually knows Jade. All of the quirks and the areas to touch and elicit some sort of physical reaction. Maybe it's because Floyd is the one who made it possible in the first place.

It might take a bit to get Jade in the mood, but he is an eel. He'll get just as aggressive when in the mood and caught up in the heat of the moment. Literally.

Either way, he's breathing out just a little. Trying to hide a sigh on an exhale as Floyd decides to heed the warning while still poking and nuzzling. Jade subtly bumps the side of his head against Floyd's, trying to return the gesture as best as he can. ]

Ah, you mean the bubble. [ Jade hasn't properly appreciated the water shield. Time to rectify that. ] It's cute and reminds me of you. What's there not to praise? It's held up surprisingly well.

[ Turning down a hallway! And Jade's pace increases one more time. Just need to reach the end of this corridor. ]

{While he feels everything he wants. A current of emotion and satisfaction carry his life from the start. Floyd loves to go where the movement is, where he can indulge in excitement and fun. Every day should be enjoyable! A boring day's wasted and gone. Whether it comes from people or places or things, as long as he feels elated, it's worth each moment. But one current in particular always passes along him. He never wants to leave it no matter what others exist outside. A hand, a foot, a tail, being in contact's as important as fun. His brother's the only one always capturing his interest, carrying him along like a shark without fail. He smiles when Jade's around, knows his twin knows him through and through, he's never lonely or bored with him. He makes Floyd happy. So happy. Whether they fight, scheme, play, laugh... shiver.

Mah, should've kept picking at his button. But too bad. Promised to behave himself if Jade gave him the praise he wanted. Otto- his leg slipped, calf bouncing down a thigh and stopping shy of Jade's knee. Hmm, does he pull it back up? Leave it there... He said he'd behave, but this isn't exactly misbehaving, right?

*bump* Mah mah, and drops his head flush to his twin's again with a happy little laugh. Leg up, ankles knotted, all wrapped again in a good pack. He's gonna give him another squeeze or five before ultimately having to get off. Won't make Jade carry him in the water on the way to their dorm. Besides, his leg's starting to cramp. Uncomfortable.}

Uh-huh. Wasn't it cool? {It's gone now though; popped when they came in out of the rain. Both "cute" and "well" stroke him in different areas, personal happiness and talented pride. He did good! Yay!} I thought of you when I practiced it; I wanted to see your reaction.

{He'll stay as he is until they reach the mirror. Only then will he begin the laborious process of untangle.}

[ Jade will have a slightly impish moment himself here. The moment that Floyd's thigh slips, Jade's hand squeezes. He makes no move to actually hoist the leg back into place. It's just for every second that it hangs low and makes it difficult for Jade to walk, there's going to be a squeeze - one that focuses primarily at the tip of Jade's fingers. A lingering sort of squeeze. ]

I might have to ask you to teach it to me. [ Well, he could figure it out himself, but. It's better to let Floyd think that he could teach it. ] Really, I'm touched that you were thinking of me. Although, I'm curious to know how. Do you see me as a person without substance? Liable to float away?

[ Just teasing. Because now they are at the mirror and, unfortunately, the ride is over. Jade gives Floyd one last affectionate squeeze before lowering his brother's legs. He doesn't try to fix his buttons. ]

Are you wanting to walk or swim?

-ah! {Almost a squeak. His eyes widen, lips opening in a quiver between smile and o. Just a hand on his thigh, squeezing, and it's enough. Sinew zips clear up his leg, traipse into his brain, and delivers a kick to the hot part of his brain. Once. Twice. Three times. Jade's being mean! But it tickles at the same time! Wet hair slips on his twin's cheek, his head ducking as little giggles wiggle past his lips. Nooo, he was behaving! See? His leg's not even in the way.}

Moh, maybe I don't wanna now. {Petulant and happy, knowing full well his twin was already working on the spell's properties even now. But getting the chance to teach Jade is kind of rare and he really does want to~ But it's hard to think about it when his leg's being tortured. Finally encouraging it off Jade's knee and back around his waist for the remainder of the trip.}

Naah, I just thought about the time he were in the middle of that big jellyfish. Ya know, the big bubbly one which couldn't reach you. {Too small of tentacles. Food was right there in the bell, but just out of reach.} You were laughing the whole time~

{The last part drifts in a happy memory before he reluctantly lowers his legs. Feels better one way. No more cramping. But now he's not stuck on Jade's back. And his shirt's damp instead of wet. He picks at his jacket lapel.} Bleh. This is gross.

Swim! {And puts both hands on Jade's back to practically trundle his twin right through the mirror into the dorm's wake. Human swimming, since he doesn't wanna drag his clothes behind him.}

[ What a good boy Floyd is, jerking that leg of his back up so that Jade has a slightly easier time. Honestly, entertaining his brother's whim always is worthwhile when he can hear the laughter and the giggling. There's a smile that plays on Jade's lips - there's always one, yes, but this one is genuine fondness and affection. A smile that is reserved for his brother and his brother alone, decipherable only to two individuals in the entire world and one of them is nuzzling Jade happily. ]

It was your idea. The poor thing twisted itself up into a right mess. [ Which had been the point, actually. Jade had delighted in the jellyfish's suffering. Oops. ] Too bad it gave up shortly after.

[ After Floyd removes himself from Jade's back, there's a distinct absence of the other's warmth. Jade finds that he doesn't like it, feeling the chill and the wetness there and a reminder of fleeting warmth and togetherness that they just can't quite achiee in this form.

"Gross" and Jade hums with a nod. It is gross and he doesn't like it any more than Floyd does.

Jade only looks over his shoulder for a moment. Brief. Then he feels his twin's shove through the mirror. No time to activate the bubble that usually transports students down. Instead Jade is there, in the water, looking back to where Floyd should be behind him. ]

{Mah, object of a piggyback ride is getting carried, not tripped and downed like a sunken net. Besides, his legs were starting to cramp anyways and Jade can get scary when he's really annoyed. Once in the water, Jade drifts. Thankfully, Jade does keep a water proofing spell on his shoes just in case something like this happens. Floyd doesn't need to know that.

His hand reaches out for his brother's, thinking back to what he had said. Like a dancer in a glass globe. ]

You did surprise me. Sometimes, Floyd, I do wonder how to see the world. How does your wonderful mind work?

[ He gives his twin a smile and then a tug. Meant to pull them down closer and closer to the entrance of the dorm proper. ]

Untucked shirt, messy blazer drifting in a mild balloon, jacket shoulders mismatched- Otto, come back here untied bowtie. *snatch* Azul would be mad if he showed up needing another one... but he makes funny faces when he pouts too...

Thoughts scatter like fish shoals as a hand takes his own and he leans back with a grin, tightening his grip on his twin's hand until their arms pull taut between them. Invitation to a dance? Or just being a tease and making his twin reel him in those few more inches.]

I like it when ya compliment me. [Water flutters past his face, bangs momentarily pulled from his forehead until he bumps up close to Jade's side, head back and eyes closed in a happy expression.] Eeeh, what's up with that question? It works, just like yours~

He seems to understand what it is that Floyd is doing. Jade gives a tug to pull his twin closer, his own hair starting float and drift in the water. Defying gravity, even. And once Floyd is close, Jade slips an arm about the waist. He's going to use magic to assist their descent. They could float around forever, but they are on a mission. Dorm room. ]

Sending them spinning in the water with lazy twirls for the fun of it. Heheh~ Now you're getting mushy. {And he loves it. Even the times he gets annoyed by Jade's excessive flattery. He knows he does it on purpose, meaning it in truth, but dumping it on thick to be a tease. It's funny, since he's seen Jade's compliments be skillfully used as barbs and digs to others for his twin's amusement. [ Floyd isn't as particular as Jade or Azul and that's fine. Azul might have tried to curb that habit initially, but he's long given up on it. Though the efforts did make Jade chuckle. It's not a bad thing that Floyd is the way that he is. They've learned how to best utilize that eccentric personality of his and it's not like Jade really wants Floyd to change.

His grin turns sharper at the accusation. Is he being sentimental? Perhaps. That's something that's reserved for Floyd, really. Maybe Azul on occasion. Jade knows that Floyd likes it when the "mushy" things he says are in genuine instead of that flattery that can dip into insults. That fake flattery. ]

You wanted the complements. Am I suppose to take that to mean that you want me to take all my kind and sincere words back?

[ Feet touch the bottom. Now there's just walking into the airpocket that the dorm sits in and then to make a dash into the rooms proper. Jade chances a glance at Floyd, feeling another shudder trail down his spine at the tone his twin is taking. ]

Why's he gotta button up when he's just gonna open the buttons again the moment he's hot or feels constricted? (See: instantly.) Nah, neither of them need to be "fake" around their twin. Kinda pointless effort anyways. He's never been good at lying to Jade in the first place. Always made him feel... Lying to others is a fun sneaky thing, leading to excitement and watching them get all red when they figure it out or get messed up. But he never felt that way tryin to lie to Jade. So he didn't bother. Jade sees through it instantly. It's kinda cool, knowing he'll be caught. He can cut to the chase and not waste time doing something boring.}
